Hellooo...
Hope everyone's year has been off to a good start. Sorry for the late post, I tried to post earlier but did get the chance to until now. Break has been awesome. I love the Dominican Republic and being home has been nice. I got to spend some time with my family and the older I get, I realize that its something I am coming to cherish a lot more. I just finished an annual 3 day Fast our church has to start of the New Year and its truly been an amazing experience. Its definitely an awesome way to devote the year to God. Other than that its been pretty chill, not looking forward to Michigan weather but God has been working and I'm excited to see what he has in store for me this year.
So John 14....
I honestly must say that God picked the perfect passage to end the year with. It begins with the promise that Jesus is preparing a place for us in Heaven and we should not be worried. Its so simple, I think sometime I'm foolish and I forget that no matter what happens I will always have a place to call home. Growing up I moved around alot and it was always difficult for me to say I had a true home anywhere but Jesus reminds us that it doesn't matter because our home is not on earth but in heaven so we shouldn't get to comfortable here on earth cause we're not home yet.
The passage then continues on with a clear path of how we get to our final destination. That is through Jesus Christ. Also how we are empowered through our faith in him. Jesus finally promises us with the Holy Spirit. He will never leave us, even though his body is gone we all have the Holy Spirit with us.
Overall, I really enjoyed the passage because its so direct and simply. An awesome reminder to a years end.

Yeah, I've definitely been appreciating home more and more. Been understanding my parents and brother more and more too. God has definitely been moving here even when I wasn't here just as He is moving in AA right now when I'm not there. I thank God that I can witness it and even be a part of it.
I love how the Bible touches everyone in very personal ways. The Word truly is living and active.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life =)
